Q. When are the conditions right for Lucky Peak Reservoir?
A. Lucky peak only works in the mornings. Usually from 5am-10am. what makes
lucky peak work is a General SE flow from Mtn. Home to Caldwell. This SE flow
will pull the air down the canyon. If it is blowing NW over night in boise, then
Lucky Peak will not work. When it is working Lucky Peaks sensor will show NW
or NNW winds 10+ mph gusting 18+. The early bird gets the worm.

A. Any Wind Direction will work at the Snowpark. Prevailing winds are 60% Westerly. Ideally we
are looking for a west flow from Boise until past Twin Falls in the range of 12-30 mph. SE winds
are the hardest to predict. A SE flow from Twin Falls to Boise Must be 20+ mph to work in the
Camas.
